XRoads41 Rocks Detour Oshkosh, Wisconsin 2026

Sunday, August 9, 2026, was a great day for rock music in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, as the very first XRoad 41 Rock Detour Brought a brand new rock festival to town. The one day festival at Oshkosh festivals Park featured a lineup packed with rock bands and gave Oshkosh another great live music event to look forward too.

The weather was good, which made Sunday festival even better. There was a great atmosphere around the festival grounds, with rock fans coming together to enjoy a full day of Rock. For the first year rock festival, XRoads Rock Detour felt like something Oshkosh has been waiting for.

The First Band playing on the main stage was Dorothy, and she sounded amazing. Unfortunately, I Only got to see the ending of her set, but what I heard was impressive and made me wish I had been there for the whole performance.

Next up on the main stage was Memphis May Fire, and they brought the heavy sound that the crowd was ready for. From the moment they started playing, you could tell the crowd was loving it. Their heavy sound and powerful performance were a great fit for the the Rock Detour Line up. One of the songs they played was Blood And Water From their album Remade in Missery. The song sounded great live, with the guitars and drums hitting hard and singer Matty Mullins sounding absolutely great. Mullins showed why he has such a powerful voice, moving between his clean vocals and heavier style with plenty of energy. They also played The Sinner from the Hollow album, giving longtime Memphis May fire fans something to enjoy as well. The band played an amazing set, and the crowd responded with plenty of energy throughout their performance.

Memphis May Fire was exactly the kind that fit the first XRoads41 Rock Detour. After Memphis May Fire Finished their set and left the crowed fired up, it was time for the next band to the main stage. Right before Daughtry was set to take the main stage, another band was already starting up on one of the festival's other stages. One of the things I really liked about XRoad41 Rock Detour was that the music never really stopped. The Festival had two smaller stages in addition to the main stage: the Raised Rowdy Stage and the Sometimes Stage. While the crew was getting the main stage ready for the next act, bands were playing on the other stages, giving fans something to watch and listen to instead of waiting.

The Rock Detour lineup was spread across all three stages, with bands such as Drowning Pool, Atreyu, Saliva and Kelsey Hickman Playing the Raised Rowdy Stage, while Saving Abel, 12 Stones and Rogue played the Sometimes stage. During the setup for Daughtry, Atreyu took the stage at the Raised Rowdy Stage. They put on an amazing set and gave fans another great performance to enjoy and by the time they finished, the crowd was ready to head back toward the main stage for Daughtry and I thought this was one of the best things about XRoads41 Rock Detour with the Raised Rowdy stage and Sometimes Stage going throughout the day, there was always another band playing somewhere.

After Atreyu finished their amazing set on the Raised Rowdy Stage, it was time to head back toward the main stage because Daughtry was getting ready to come on. The sun was starting to set over Oshkosh, giving the festival grounds a great evening atmosphere as the next big performance was about to begin.

When Daughtry came onto the main stage, the crowd was ready. The band sounded really good, and Chris Daughtry sounded great throughout the performance. Chris Daughtry showed once again why his voice has become such an important part of rock music. One of my favorite parts of the set was when Chris slowed things down and came out with just an acoustic guitar. He played some of the older Daughtry songs, including September and Home, and the crowd sang along with him the entire time. It was a really special moment because you could hear the entire crowd singing the words back to him.

Then the show shifted gears and Daughtry brought the heavier rock sound back to the stage. Songs like The Dam and Heavy Is The Crown showed the heavier side of the band's newer music. The change from the acoustic songs to the heavier material worked really well and gave the set a great mix of Daughtry's older and newer sound. Chris Daughtry and the entire band sounded amazing. The guitars were heavy, the drums hit hard, and Chris's vocals were strong throughout the performance. It was great seeing the crowd go from singing along to the older songs to getting fired up when the heavier songs kicked in. With the sun setting, the stage lights coming on, and thousands of rock fans singing along, Daughtry's performance was one of the highlights of the first XRoads41 Rock Detour. They put on an amazing show and proved to be a perfect fit for the festival's main stage.

After Daughtry finished their set on the main stage, the festival wasn't slowing down. While the crew began getting the main stage ready for the headliner, Breaking Benjamin Drowning Pool took over the Raised Rowdy Stage to headline that stage. Drowning Pool put on an amazing set and brought a ton of energy to the crowd. One of the biggest moments of Drowning Pool's set was when they played Bodies. The crowd absolutely went crazy. People were jumping up and down and singing along to the song, making it one of those moments where the entire Raised Rowdy Stage area felt alive. With Drowning Pool finishing up on the Raised Rowdy Stage, the attention then turned toward the main stage. The crew had finished setting up, the lights were ready, and it was almost time for Breaking Benjamin to close out the very first XRoads41 Rock Detour in Oshkosh. You could really feel the excitement building throughout the festival as everyone knew that Breaking Benjamin was coming up next to close out the first ever Rock Detour.

Now it’s Breaking Benjamin’s time to hit the Main Stage, and the excitement in the crowd is impossible to miss. As the lights went down and the band came out, it was clear that the night was about to end on a high note.

Benjamin Burnley sounded absolutely amazing throughout the entire set. One of the coolest parts of the performance was seeing his kid by his side for the whole show. He even told the crowd that his kid has vocals on the band’s new album, including the recently released song “Something Wicked,” which is currently No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. That was a pretty special moment and made the performance feel even more personal.

The whole band played incredibly well. They mixed some of their older songs that l ongtime fans knew and loved with some of their newer material, giving everyone in the crowd something to enjoy. The energy never let up, and the audience was singing along and rocking out throughout the entire set.

The stage production was another highlight. The graphics on the big screen looked great and matched the songs perfectly, while the lighting added even more energy to the performance. Everything came together—the music, the visuals, the lights, and the crowd—to make Breaking Benjamin’s set feel like a true headliner performance.

Now it’s Breaking Benjamin’s time to hit the Main Stage, and you could feel the excitement building throughout the crowd. After an already incredible day of music, everyone was ready to see the headliner close out the festival. As the lights went down and Breaking Benjamin came onto the stage, the crowd immediately came alive.

Benjamin Burnley sounded absolutely amazing from the moment he started singing. His vocals were strong throughout the entire set, and the band sounded tight and powerful behind him. One of the coolest and most memorable parts of the show was seeing his kid by his side throughout the whole set. Benjamin even talked to the crowd about his kid having vocals on the band’s new album, including the recently released song “Something Wicked.” That was a really cool personal moment and something that made the performance stand out.

The setlist was also a great mix of old favorites and newer songs. They played “So Cold” from We Are Not Alone, which had longtime fans singing along and bringing back memories from the band’s earlier years. They also brought the newer material into the set with “Awaken”. It was great hearing the band move between songs from different parts of their career while keeping the crowd engaged the entire time. The entire band played incredibly well, and the production made the performance even better. The graphics on the large screen behind the band looked great and added another visual element to each song. The lighting was also excellent, with the different colors and effects matching the mood and energy of the music. Everything from the sound to the lights and the screen graphics made it feel like a true headliner performance.

As the night came to an end, Breaking Benjamin saved a huge moment for last. They closed out their set with “The Diary of Jane” from Phobia, and the crowd absolutely went for it. Hearing thousands of people singing one of Breaking Benjamin’s biggest songs together was an incredible way to finish the performance.

After an entire day of great bands and great performances, Breaking Benjamin was an amazing way to end the night at XRoads41 Rocks Detour. They sounded fantastic, put on an incredible show, and gave the crowd a finale that was loud, powerful, and unforgettable.

XRoads41 Rocks Detour in Oshkosh was definitely a night to remember. From start to finish, the festival was filled with a lot of great music, incredible performances, great food, and an amazing atmosphere.

Every band brought something special to the festival, and there was always something exciting happening throughout the night. By the time Breaking Benjamin took the Main Stage, it was the perfect way to finish an already incredible day of music.
