If you were lucky enough to catch The Black Moods at this year’s Summer Concert Series, you know that it wasn’t just a show—it was an experience. From the moment the band hit the stage, it was clear that these rock veterans were here to deliver an unforgettable night.
The crowd was buzzing with anticipation, and The Black Moods did not disappoint. They kicked things off with an electrifying set, blending their signature sound of gritty rock with a touch of swagger. Frontman Josh Kennedy’s voice was in top form, effortlessly commanding the audience while still maintaining that laid-back, cool vibe that’s become a hallmark of the band. His stage presence was magnetic—never overstated, but always on point.
The chemistry between the bandmates was undeniable. Guitarist Jordan Hoffman was shredding his way through riffs with such passion that you couldn’t help but get lost in the music. And drummer Danny “Loco” Sours held down the rhythm with precision, adding that perfect backbone to the band’s high-energy performance.
The mix of their original hits like “Bad News” and “Heavy” along with some newer tracks had the crowd moving from the very first chord. Their infectious blend of rock, blues, and even a little bit of southern swagger kept things fresh and exciting throughout the entire set. And the crowd? Absolutely vibing, singing along, and creating an electric atmosphere that only added to the band's raw energy.
One of the highlights of the night was their performance of “Bella Donna” which had a whole new level of depth in a live setting. The crowd swayed along, with Kennedy’s vocals and the band’s tight instrumentation creating a moment that felt both intimate and epic at the same time.
If you weren’t there, you missed out on a hell of a show. The Black Moods proved once again that they’re one of the best rock acts out there right now. It was a performance full of passion, energy, and rock ‘n’ roll at its finest. If you get the chance to see them live, don’t hesitate—they’re a band you’ll want to experience in person.
