Hinder At Summer Of '99 And Beyond Festival 2025

Date: 7/19/25
Venue: Alpine Valley Music Theatre
Location: East Troy, Wisconsin
Under clear blue skies and a warm Wisconsin breeze, Alpine Valley Music Theatre was the perfect setting for this year's Summer Of '99 and Beyond Festival a celebration of throwback anthems and modern rock energy. Among the standout acts of the day was Hinder, who delivered a powerful and polished set that reminded fans exactly why they’ve remained a staple of the rock scene for nearly two decades. The Summer of '99 and Beyond Fest was in full swing, drawing thousands of fans eager to relive the sounds of the late '90s and early 2000s. Right after a heartfelt and melodic set from Vertical Horizon, Hinder hit the stage—and they absolutely crushed it.
The Oklahoma-based rockers wasted no time getting the crowd fired up. Marshal Dutton’s vocals were gritty and powerfull. Their mix of hard rock and melodic hooks hit the sweet spot, blending nostalgia with pure performance power.
Hinder also gave fans a taste of their newer songs from their 2025 release Back to Life, which landed well with the mixed-age crowd. Two standout new songs, “Live Without It” and “Bring Me Back to Life,” showed that Hinder is evolving. “Live Without It” featured driving riffs and emotional lyrics that landed well with the crowd, while “Bring Me Back to Life” felt like an instant arena-rock classic with a huge chorus and modern edge. Both songs had fans cheering and nodding along, proving that the band’s newer work holds up just as well as their early 2000s staples.
The highlight, of course, was “Lips of an Angel,” which had the entire crowd singing in unison. It was a true festival moment—warm sun overhead, good vibes all around, and a sea of fans completely locked in. The band seemed to be enjoying it just as much as the crowd, trading smiles and feeding off the energy. Their set was passionate, loud, and full of heart. Whether you’ve followed them since the early 2000s or were just hearing them live for the first time, there was no denying the impact they had on that stage
